The 'feedback' are the responses that the portraits receive from people, this feedback  can take different forms, for example:  a hand-made drawings being use as a  display picture, a photo of a printed  Memoautomaton's drawing  or maybe a thoughtful comment   - because of these interesting responces  the project keeps going on(see the rules) .

 Is worth notice that each portrait could be considered as the original photo’s feedback, in the same way as the original photo is the feedback for a particular moment in that person’s life. All these feedback   is part of a chain of causality through which the information travels, going from one medium to another, creating all sort of possible digital and physical interactions.
