The Memo-Automaton  is an artistic  cellular automaton made exclusively for this project.  

                                                                                      This automaton use a webcam to takes photos  which then are transformed  into  digital

                                                                                      generative portraits .  

                                                                                                           

                                                                                     You can print or download these generative portraits directly from this website   

                                                                                     and do whatever you want with them, maybe create a new feedback(see the project's 

                                                                                     algorithm).



                                                                                     Every image introduced into the Memo Automaton  sets -in a unique way- the initial state of

                                                                                     the  automaton, thus,  ensuring a particular and  hard to predict process of new portrait          

                                                                                     construction, also in the same way, producing an unique new portrait.

                                                                                    Given the generative and emergent complexity nature of the Memoautomaton, once you let it

                                                                                    iterate enough time, the possible outcomes could be:

                                                                                   1. A static portrait (without movement)

                                                                                   2. A dinamic stable portrait (with a repetitive,cyclical movement)

                                                                                   3. A dinamic chaotic portrait (non repetitive movement, a portrait that never finish of being

                                                                                        made)
